The best red carpet looks at the Avengers: Endgame premiere
We’re in the Endgame now, and the Avengers stars are definitely dressed for the end of the world. So, naturally, we’re here to fawn over the best red carpet looks at the Avengers: Endgame premiere. Strap in.
It’s been 10 years in the making, and now, Avengers: Endgame is finally here.
The last installment in this era of Marvel superheroes, Endgame features the second-biggest roster of stars in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) portfolio. The biggest being last year’s Infinity War, where Thanos (played by Josh Brolin) successfully decimated half of the characters with a single snap.
The stars of the movie franchise came together on April 22nd to set off the movie’s arrival in cinemas worldwide.
Present were, of course, the original six Avengers: Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man), Chris Evans (Steve Rogers/Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/The Hulk), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow), and Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton/Hawkeye).
Also in attendance were Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Letitia Wright (Shuri), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), and Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes).
And although it was an emotional for some of the cast (or is it?), that’s no reason to dress down for the red carpet. So, without further fangirling, here’s the best red carpet looks at the Avengers: Endgame premiere.
Brie Larson (Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel)
Brie Larson starred in the MCU’s pre-Endgame offering, Captain Marvel. The first female Marvel superhero with her own movie, Brie’s cheeky Infinity Stone-inspired hand piece perfectly complimented her lilac custom-made Celine gown.
Sleek and sophisticated, Brie’s makeup features warm nude tones, with barely-there brown eyeshadow and peach lips.
Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow)
ScarJo has been around since the earliest days of the MCU, and she’s consistently looked stunning.
Gracing the premiere with her own Infinity Stone-inspired hand piece (twinning with Brie), Scarlett’s choppy blonde bob and her silver-or-gold Versace gown was a sight to behold.
The midi red carpet dress features a thigh slit and gorgeous detail on the back. ScarJo’s understated makeup features gorgeous ash blonde brows, strategically-placed highlighter, and nude pink lips that are to die for.
Chris Hemsworth (Thor)
Now, that’s a suit.
Chris donned an all-blue Etro suit with a beautiful print, plus a simple black tie.
His look leaves two focal points: first, that gorgeous, shiny suit (obviously); and then, his blue eyes–highlighted by the blue of his outfit.
His carefully tousled hair completes the get-up, reminiscent of his Thor: Ragnarok hairstyle (where Thor’s famously long locks get chopped off by the late Stan Lee, no less).
Tessa Thompson (Brunhilde/Valkyrie)
Is there a best dressed list without Tessa Thompson in it?
The Thor: Ragnarok star looked positively regal in her black Ronald Van Der Kemp handpainted gown. Tessa’s character Valkyrie makes a comeback in Endgame after being conspicuously absent in Infinity War. While we have no idea what her character’s up to, we do know that Tessa’s gown provided a fascinating silhouette, complimented by her tall braided updo.
The end result? Art. Just art.
Bonus: Vin Diesel (Groot)
Okay, maybe it’s not the fanciest suit jacket there, but it sure was a fun tribute to his character, the animated talking tree, Groot.
Vin showed up in a tree bark-inspired jacket plus a simple black shirt-and-pants combo. It might not scream “red carpet” to the uninitiated, but Marvel’s hordes of fans surely got a kick out of his cool jacket. Here’s hoping Groot comes back to life in time for the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
These MCU stars sure know how to put on a final red carpet strut. But with the Infinity Saga of the MCU about to come to a close, it’s hard not to get sad about endings.
