Permanent makeup training for world-class microblading

When faced with career options in the beauty industry, not many people think to consider microblading. And yet it’s the most untapped and undiscovered niche in the market.

Permanent makeup is a rising beauty trend, as more and more women find themselves with hectic schedules.

Busy days spell lesser time for their family, friends, and selves. With permanent makeup, women can cut their daily routine in half, giving them more time to sleep in, cuddle with their husbands, or prepare the kids’ breakfast.

With the obvious advantage of permanent makeup over traditional makeup, why hasn’t it become an overnight sensation? A top Twitter trend? The answer is simple:

There aren’t enough permanent makeup artists to go around.

And this is where you can come in.

The need for permanent makeup artists

Permanent makeup allows women to take control of their lives.

It’s an unescapable fact that the business world expects us to look our best. So does social media, our friend groups, and even ourselves. The time and money we devote to makeup can sometimes be too embarrassing to measure—that’s how much importance we give our beauty routines.

With permanent makeup, however, there’s no need to slave in front of a mirror on a daily basis. Women simply need to wait one hour every two years—that’s right: one hour.

Because one hour is all it takes to get your eyebrows done permanently. One hour is all it takes to get your lip contoured permanently. One hour is all it takes to be in control of your life.

Why aren’t there enough permanent makeup artists?

Permanent makeup, unlike other beauty services like manicures and haircuts, require in-depth training.

The dedication needed to learn permanent makeup can be seen as too much of a hassle, especially for beauty professionals who just want a quick buck.

However, what many people don’t realize is that permanent makeup pays. And it pays very, very well.

In fact, one permanent makeup procedure a week can make you more money than several haircuts performed in a day. Here’s a handy comparison chart:

Service 1 procedure per week 2 procedures per week 3 procedures per week 4 procedures per week 10 procedures per week
Eyebrows
$500
$500 $1,000 $1,500 $2,000 $5,000
Full lip
$750
$750 $1,500 $2,250 $3,000 $7,500
Eyeliner
$500
$500 $1,000 $1,500 $2,000 $5,000
Total $1,750 $3,500 $5,250 $7,000 $17,000
Annual $91,000 $182,000 $273,000 $364,000 $884,000

Training for permanent makeup doesn’t just allow you to make more money than other beauty professionals. It also inducts you into a fun, supportive, and loving community. There aren’t many of us—so, we tend to stick together. We form meaningful friendships because we share the same meaningful work.

Now that we’ve established the need for permanent makeup artists, let’s look into how you can join us in our quest for permanent beauty.

The need for organic microblading

Microblading is a specific form of permanent makeup. This procedure involves creating tiny incisions on the client’s skin using a microblading tool. The tool deposits colored pigments into the skin, allowing you to fill in eyebrows, lips, lash lines, and even areolas. This technique is ideal for these small areas of the body, because the fine lines help the pigments blend seamlessly into the skin.

For a clearer idea of the microblading process, check out this short video clip:

Organic Permanent Makeup (OPM) focuses on microblading, because this procedure readily addresses the most common beauty concerns women have today. The popularity of Instagram brows and Kardashian-esque lips means women are deeply invested in their own lips and arches.
Here’s a full list of microblading procedures offered at OPM:

  • Eyebrow microblading
  • Ombre eyebrow microblading
  • Lip contouring
  • Lash enhancement
  • Scalp micropigmentation
  • Areola reconstruction and restoration
  • Tattoo correction and removal

If you’re wondering if all our procedures live up to our brand name, let us assure you that they certainly do. All our procedures involve only organic pigments. These food- and mineral-based pigments have the following benefits:

  • Compatibility with all skin types
  • Zero side effects
  • Lasting power of up to two years
  • Zero downtime
  • No chances of discoloration (e.g. blue eyebrows)

Additionally, our pigments don’t use metals like traditional microblading pigments. So, organic microblading isn’t just healthier for the client; it’s also better for the environment.

When you become an organic microblading artist, you’ll be forwarding the advocacy of beauty for all and a safer planet for everyone.

The need for world-class permanent makeup training

The reason we bring up organic microblading at OPM is this: we’re the best in the business. If you want to become a microblading artist, then you’ve come to the right place.

Our founder, Lorine Mikhaeil, actually pioneered the use of organic microblading. She saw how microblading was losing popularity because of health and safety concerns.

And she decided that the microblading horror stories had to stop.

With the birth of organic microblading came the founding of our beauty clinic—and our academy.

You see, Lorine wasn’t content with just serving safe and permanent beauty. She wanted to spread her advocacy across the country. The OPM Academy trains microblading enthusiasts and beauty professionals to have the same standards as OPM does. We want you to have a craft you’re proud of and a livelihood that will give you a comfortable life.

Training at OPM allows you to:

  • Learn the basics and techniques of microblading from the pioneer of the field herself
  • Observe and learn from microblading experts as they work on clients
  • Work on dummies and clients alike under the supervision of microblading expert
  • Receive feedback on your work from experts in the field
  • Have access to our resources on microblading
  • Learn how to price and market your microblading services

Training with OPM

Years of teaching microblading beginners have allowed us to perfect our technique. We’ve broken down the teaching process into three crucial steps:

Step one. Our expert artists demonstrate microblading techniques. Students get to observe and ask questions, so they can see first-hand what microblading entails. Our artists then guide you as you attempt your first strokes on practice sheets of paper.

Step two. After learning comes practice. Students are required to accomplish 150 to 200 hours of practice, so the strokes required almost become muscle memory. This second step involves instructional videos and weekly assignments, all under the supervision of OPM artist.;

Step three. OPM Academy is the only microblading learning institution that lets you practice on real people. In this step, students take on a client from start to finish. They learn how to deal with client inquiries, choose the right clientele for them, and upsell their services so they can make a sizable income.

Our students think we’re the best

Check out their reviews:

“[Lorine’s] course is a no-nonsense kind of course. Lorine will tell you if you suck, and she will not hold back if you need to work on something. It’s called honesty. She isn’t sugarcoating things for you. That itself is what makes it an amazing course. Things are not going to get any easier when you leave and screw up someone’s face…IT’S PERMANENT! Take the criticism and CORRECT YOUR MISTAKES!
Having a bunch of crybaby, sort of good, perm makeup artists is not what she’s striving for. It’s her business and her brand, and it’s about time someone raises student standards so that people can go to someone they can trust. “

— Muffin S. of Lakeforest, CA

“OPM is [a] great academy. All the instructors are great. Nancy and Joy really explained everything in detail. Loraine seems really strict, but it’s really great for the students to push them towards perfection. I loved them all. Still going to practice at home, and I am sure that after coming to the advanced class, I will be totally confident in working with my clients. Thank you all.”

— Sweta M. of Anaheim, CA
